10:11PM - Cobwebs, Cobwebs
It's been a while. Herein likes a community gathering dust, its members scattered to the winds, and yet... it's still here, and so are some of them. Out there, waiting, watching.
Perhaps, just perhaps, a head or two might pop up above the parapet and say hello. Perhaps not, but its always worth a try...

Thought I would say hello as I found this community via the Doctor Who d20 group on Yahoo. Been a fan since about 1983. Quite enjoying the new series (looking forward to the third series), though I still have close to half a season of Torchwood to watch before I catch up. Nice meeting everyone.

4:25AM - Time War
A brief question from the books - how were the Nine Gallifrey's created and who was the President who authorised it - Romana or the War King?

1:24PM - Purpose
Other than as a signpost to the Yahoo Groups, what purpose will this particular group actually serve in LJ? Doesn't dwcanon_fodder fulfils most of its needs?
I'm not sayin the group is redundant (far from it), but I'm keen to understand where it might be going. As a speculative forum where the creative possibilities are discussed (such as in the Solar System/Kasterborus system thread) its useful, although because of the nature of LJ most of the questions posed are from a fanfiction perspective: Many of the answers I give are extrapolations of the facts rather than the facts themselves.

6:11PM - Planets, planets, planets
Its sad, I know, but I just want to celebrate passing the 900 entries mark for the Planets and locations database over at http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/whocon
I've not had much help (those who have - it's appreciated), so I see this as a personal achievement (having thus far waded through every TV series reference book and New Adventure). There are plenty more potential entries out there - from the Big Finish audios to Missing Adventures and BBC books which I haven't yet covered, and I've set myself the task of upping it to a thousand entries by next week.

10:24PM - Sontarans
An unanswered question from our Who-rpgd20:
There are 4 kinds of Sontarans: Purebloods, three-fingered Sontarans, four-fingered Sontarans, and the Shakedown ones with the bumpy heads.
What are the differences between them?
10:15PM - Sycorax
Here's a thread starter ported over from the Newapocrypha Yahoo group about the Sycorax the planet, which might just be the original home of the Sycorax seen in the Christmas Invasion...

9:27PM - Newapocrypha Maintenance
I've tidied up the community a little, putting in a proper signpost to the yahoo groups that we run. If members have any other sites they want to be linked to the from page post it as a comment here and I will make the necessary arrangements.
Oh, and if anyone has a nice icon under 40k they think would work well as an image for the group, please let me know.

11:38PM - Wny Newapocrypha?
I set this group up because I am a mad Doctor Who fan who happens to run a whole host of yahoo forums on my favourite subject: the C word.
If you're a whonatic like myself, you might be interested in taking a look. The groups are:
This is a group I put together to set up a Doctor Who A-Z of everything.
This is a closed group for friends and contacts from the above groups. It covers Doctor Who, continuity, roleplaying and a fair chunk of other stuff. Mutual friends are welcome to see me about joining up if the urge takes them, but I have to get approval from everybody else.
For completism, I am also an active member of the following groups:

7:54AM - Get the ball rolling...
Its good to see this community set up, but if its only for members of the yahoo group... what's it for?
I joined LJ a while back to get updates on adrian_middle's fiction, but haven't really made best use of it. I'd be happier if this was a stand alone community which just *happens* to have some of the same members in it. Heck, we could discuss the same issues and come up with two completely different perspectives.
